We are required by the Child Internet Protection Act (CIPA) to filter web traffic going into our schools. This filter uses a combination of known lists to block websites as well as "on the fly" examination of web pages to decide if a page should blocked. This is necessary as new websites are created every minute and no pre-determined list could keep up with the Web. But as you can imagine, and likely have witnessed, the filter can guess wrong. When this happens you are presented with the red block page. If you are blocked to a legitimate page, simply send an email to webfilter@worc.k12.ma.us with the website address in the email and we will try to unblock it within one business day.
