We often talk about the talent we have in our schools, both educators and students. Today, I want to highlight a group of individuals who embarked in an amazing project called Burncoat UNITES (Unifying New Instrumentalists Through El Sistema), designed to provide students, in grades 5 through 8, access to ensemble and instrumental instruction after school hours.

Superintendent's Message

One enjoyable aspect of my job as Superintendent is to have the opportunity to meet monthly with the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council. Each high school is represented by five students and a staff advisor. We meet once a month from October through May and each High School graciously hosts our meetings. Prior to our meetings, school advisors submit students’ questions which range from academic opportunities to lunch menus. The agendas are rich and promote great discussions each time.
