Request that the Administration survey principals in the elementary and middle schools regarding the timeframe for student lunches and the lunchroom policies/ procedures.

Request that the Administration provide a report regarding the Worcester Public Schools’ internship programs for college students and indicate the names of the colleges and the number of students involved in these internships.

To review the current locations of the 21st Century Learning Centers, and of their English Language Learner Supplemental Support Services, and to determine whether the locations as selected serve the needs of the English Language Learner students of the Worcester Public Schools in an optimal manner.

To publicize the 21st Century Learning Centers, and their English Language Learner Supplemental Support Services, in a manner which will advertise the Centers, and their services, to the English Language Learner students of the Worcester Public Schools and to their families, with the goal of making them available to all of the students who will benefit from them.
A careful advertisement and recruitment is conducted by the school by reviewing data and ensuring that the neediest group is targeted. Initially, flyers are sent home with follow-up phone calls and in some cases, parent meetings are offered to share information.
