Request that the Administration review the resolution, “Call to action to reduce absenteeism in our nation’s schools” as outlined at the Nation’s Mayor’s Conference this summer and come up with a plan to combat chronic absenteeism in our system.

Request that the Administration provide a report regarding the success on the use of Science Kits to better engage students in hands on projects and include:
 - the way in which these kits are integrated into the content of the science curriculum
- the benefits of using the kits and
- a report from principals on the integration of these kits into the science classrooms as promising teacher and student initiatives

Request that the Administration provide information in reference to enrollment and academic support provided to alternative education programs to include the number of referrals requested from middle, high school and drop-out prevention programs.
