Early Dismissal on Thursday, September 7, and Friday, September 8
Due to the extended forecast of hot temperatures, all Worcester Public Schools will dismiss students three (3) hours early on Thursday, September 7, and Friday, September 8. There will be no half-day preschool. There are adjustments to the high school athletic schedules.
Updates on Bus Route Info, WooEdu, and La Familia School Issue
The first day of school is Monday, August 28 for grades 1-12 and Thursday, August 31, for pre-kindergarten (pre-K) and kindergarten. We are writing to provide you with updates on back-to-school resources, accessing the WooEdu portal, bus routes, and information for families of the former La Familia School who are merging with Chandler Magnet Elementary.

All Students Receive $120 P-EBT Food Benefit This Summer
On July 25, 2023, all students in the Worcester Public Schools were issued a $120 payment for food through the Pandemic EBT Program (P-EBT). P-BET funds are to help you buy food for your student or family.
Instructional Focus
A coordinated whole school effort to have ALL Union Hill students show growth in their ability to think, create and design while engaged in a thoughtful, rigorous and challenging curriculum. Staff will implement a common and consistent set of school‐wide teaching strategies. Growth in student learning will be measured by multiple measures; DIBELS, MAP, BAS, and MCAS.
