Congratulations, your Worcester Public Schools email has been migrated from Office 365 to Google. We have migrated your email, contacts, calendar, and documents to Google. Please stop using your Office 365 account and start using your Google account immediately. Email will be delivered to both your worc.k12.ma.us and worcesterschools.net accounts for the duration of the migration period (this summer). After that emails will only be sent to your worcesterschools.net account. We will keep the Office 365 account open for at least 30 days after your migration, but it is only for you to check and make sure all of your items were migrated over properly.
Step 1: Log in to your new Google account by going to http://mail.worcesterschools.net Log in with your new email address (see above) and the password is the same you used for Office 365 (except for cabadmin users - contact Paul or Alex if you don't know your Google password).
Step 2: You should see all of your WPS email in your new account. You should also see your migrated Calendar and Contacts by going to the Google apps icon in the top right (icon is 9 small squares). There you will see links to the Calendar and Contacts. If you had any documents, they were migrated to Drive, and they were put in a folder called Documents.
Step 3: Cease using Office 365 to send and receive emails. Begin using http://mail.worcesterschools.net going forward. We will be shutting off Office 365 after 30 days of your migration date.
Step 6: We do not recommend using Outlook to manage your email, calendar, and contacts any longer. Google was designed from its inception to be a web based application, so begin using these features at http://mail.worcesterschools.net and cease using Outlook.
Step 7: If you have your Office 365 account set up on any mobile devices, you will want to make sure you delete the Office 365 account and add the Gmail account. When you delete you Office 365 account, all of your contacts, calendar, and emails will be deleted from your phone. But don't worry, because we migrated all of these to Google, they will re-appear when you setup your new Google account on your device.
While different versions of Android and Apple products have slightly different way to this this, the general instructions on how to remove and add accounts is below.
