In February, we informed the Worcester School Committee of the financial allocations and challenges we will be facing for the 2024-25 school year. WPS is facing a budget gap of $22 million, which is 4.4% of our total operating budget.
Eighth grade graduation dates for Worcester Public Schools (WPS) are officially set.

Peterbilt, The Pete Store Donate Diesel Truck to South High Community School 🚛
On March 20, representatives from Peterbilt and The Pete Store met with students in South High Community School’s Ch. 74 Diesel Technology Program to unveil a recent donation - a 2014 Peterbilt Model 579 equipped with a Cummins ISX15 diesel engine.
The full-sized diesel truck will benefit students in both the South High Diesel Technology career technical education program and adult students in the Night Life program, providing students with a better hands-on learning experience servicing diesel engines.
“Support from industry leaders is critical for programs like Worcester Night Life as well as the Chapter 74 high school programs,” said Director of Night Life Education Ruth Seward. “This particular truck really helps get the right hands-on instructional aid so these students can walk away with real life learning.”
Thank you Peterbilt and The Pete Store! ... See MoreSee Less
