Advanced Placement English Language and Composition: In this course, students will become critical readers of non-fiction prose written in a variety of rhetorical contexts by skilled writers who compose for different purposes and audiences. Students will examine arguments in a variety of formats including speeches, founding documents, letters, and essays through the lens of the rhetorical triangle and learn to synthesize information to form well written arguments. As an Advanced Placement course, college level content will be covered. Students take the Advanced Placement Examination.
