Art Foundations

Art Foundations: In this course, students will be introduced to the visual experience through several art/design pathways: 2D Design, Drawing and Painting, and 3D Design. Students will explore materials, concepts, and processes essential to understanding the visual arts and the role of the artist in historical and contemporary culture. Students will also participate in research, reflection, and critique of artistic practices. As an honors level course, content will be covered at an accelerated pace. Students will study topics at a deeper level and will be expected to complete more independent coursework and assignments.
