Business Technology 12

Business Technology 12: In this course, students will continue to practice work readiness and communication skills necessary for success in the world of work. Students will draw on, and apply, the technical programs and concepts they have learned in the program to expand their knowledge of business to include entrepreneurship and business management. From starting a business, to marketing a business, to operating in a global marketplace, students will come to understand the complexities of business ownership. Students will delve into topics surrounding legal, ethical, and social responsibilities which include topics surrounding employees, laws and regulations, as well as environmental practices that foster sustainability. As part of the senior year, eligible students will have the opportunity to participate in cooperative education placements or internship opportunities. As an honors level course content will be covered at an accelerated pace. Students will study topics at a deeper level and will be expected to complete more independent coursework and assignments.
