Electromechanical, Applications 9: In this course students are introduced to tudents will participate in a hands-on exploration of the basic concepts of electricity in AC and DC circuitry. Students will also study voltage, current, and resistance and the relationship of these quantities in Ohm's and Watt's laws pertaining to series and parallel circuits with resistors, capacitors, and inductors. Students will explore the topic of magnetism and electromagnetism and their application to transformers; relays; solenoids; DC motors and AC motors. Students will become competent in the use of Multisim Electronics Workbench and Automation Studio, which are used to design, simulate, and animate AC and DC circuits. Students will participate in laboratory experiences to create projects and use instruments to measure electrical quantities and safety procedures.
