English Language Development 1A Intensive - Part 1: In this course, students will learn foundational literacy skills to begin alphabetization in English. Students will learn print concepts; phonological awareness; word decoding and word recognition skills. Students will practice reading daily to increase reading fluency and will learn the organization and basic features of print to support their writing development and will learn basic rules and conventions of English. This course is designed for English Language Learners with an Entering level (EPL 1) of English Language Proficiency.
