Engineering Design – Fab

Engineering Design and Fabrication (EDF): In this course, students will pursue skills and applications in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). Students will also utilize a variety of CAD commands, geometric construction, orthographic and isometric projection, conventional practices in drawing, dimensioning, sectioning, auxiliary view systems, pictorial systems, and architectural drawings using the Engineering Design Process. Students will also examine the impact of this area of study on related industries and society. Students will gain and apply releveant safety knowledge, complete and discuss academic and career plans, and apply appropriate academic content knowledge. Students will be eligible, upon successful completion of this course, to take an exit exam and gain college credit through an articulation agreement with Quinsigamond Community College. This course is a prerequisite for Engineering Design and Manufacturing.
