English 6

English 6: In this course, students will build upon their prior knowledge in the areas of reading literature and informational texts, writing arguments, informational/explanatory and narrative pieces and speaking and listening through various established protocols. Students will continue to expand their academic vocabulary and develop their knowledge of the English language and the conventions of Standard English. All students will learn how to work cooperatively in groups and to present assignments and projects orally.
