Environmental Seminar: In this course, students will investigate health promotion strategies and disease prevention concepts as well as acquire essential life skills to implement and maintain health-enhancing behaviors. Students will examine the importance of healthy interpersonal relationships with family, friends, co-workers and community members; sexuality, including reproductive physiology and prevention of unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections; community health issues and the role of community agencies, organization, and staff; factors contributing to intentional and unintentional injury; and the relationship between the environment and physical, mental, and social health.
