Graphic Arts I

Graphic Arts I: In this course, students will explore the fundamentals of graphic design and the use of design elements and principles to create forms of graphic communication. Students will develop a basic understanding of mechanical and digital reproduction techniques as they relate to the professional practice of design. Students will investigate the components of photography, illustration, typography, and iconography in order to develop visual literacy. As an honors level course, content will be covered at an accelerated pace. Students will study topics at a deeper level and will be expected to complete more independent coursework and assignments.
