Into to Civil Engineering

Introduction to Civil Engineering: In this Innovation Pathways Program course students will gain a general overview of construction fields and how to pursue union and non-union jobs, enhance their math skills as related to the trade, and give students basic blueprint reading skills. Additionally, hands on projects will reinforce these learning objectives and introduce students to tools and machinery commonly used in construction. This 90-hour, instructor-led course will give a basic overview of the construction fields and develop specific skills needed for the industry.
