Introduction to Government and Justice: In this course, students will identify, define, compare, and contrast ideas regarding the nature of government, politics, and civil life, and explore how these ideas have influenced contemporary political and legal systems. Students will also examine the importance of government, politics, and civic engagement in a democratic republic, as well as how citizens participate in civic and political life in their own communities. As an honors level course, content will be covered at an accelerated pace. Students will study topics at a deeper level and will be expected to complete more independent coursework and assignments.
