Mandarin II

Mandarin II: In this course, students will build upon the fundamentals of oral and written communication mastered in Mandarin I to deepen their understanding and use of the Chinese language by practicing, listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Chinese. Students will examine Chinese culture and communities and be able to make connections and comparisons between Chinese language and culture and their own. Students will engage in practical and functional mastery of the language through the completion of project-based assessments. As an honors level course, content will be covered at an accelerated pace. Students will study topics at a deeper level and will be expected to complete more independent coursework and assignments.
