Mathematics 5: In this course, students will write and interpret numerical expressions; analyze patterns and relationships; understand the place value system; and perform operatins with multi-digit whole numbers and with decimals to hundreths. Students will use equivalent fractins as a strategy to add and subtract fractions and apply and extend previous understandings of multiplication and division to multiply and divide fractions. Students will convert like measurement units within a given measurement system; represent and interpret data; and understand concepts of volume and relate volume to multiplication and addition. Students will graph points on the coordinate plane to solve real-world and mathematical problems and classify two-dimensional figures into characters based on their properties.
