Media Arts Magnet 8 - In this course, students will learn valuable design, innovation, artistic literacy and collaborative skills through the media arts. Media artists tell stories and generate experiences through the use of technology and traditional artistic methods and tools. Primary area addressed are Moving Image, Imagine Design, Sound Design, Multimedia and Intermedia, and Virtual Design. Students literate in the media arts are able to present their ideas thoughtfully, collaborate with other effectively, and view failure as a challenge to be overcome. As an honor level course, content will be covered at an accelerated pace. Students will study topics at a deeper level and will be expected to complete independent coursework and assignments.
