Music and Multi Tech

Music and Multimedia Technology: In this course, students will examine the relationship between current technology and music composition; recording; live audio; radio and music management. In this co-curricular class, students will study the ways in which business practices and multimedia knowledge intersect with the creation and promotion of music and will acquire basic skills in audio recording; live sound mixing; music composition; multimedia technology; poster and program design; concert management; press release writing; and web promotion. As an honors level course, content will be covered at an accelerated pace. Students will study topics at a deeper level and will be expected to complete more independent coursework and assignments. At least one Business & Technology Course and/or Music class is a prerequisite for this course.
