Physical Education 8: In this course, students will learn and practice the skills necessary to participate in a variety of physical activities. This course is designed to develop physically literate individuals who gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity. The focus is on skill-refinement, skill application, and game strategies. Students will learn new skills in many individual and dual sports in preparation for the transfer to high school where the focus will be on lifetime activities. Activities In this course, may include, but are not limited to the following: Health-related fitness components, sports, cooperative games, and dance skills.
