Practical Engineering: In this class, students will acquire a variety of skills required for entry level positions in the machine tool industry. Students will learn about the composition and appropriate use of various metals. Students will also explore a wide range of equipment, including computers in machining with Computerized Numerical Control (CNC); milling machines; Computer Assisted Design (CAD); and Computer Assisted Machining (CAM). As an honors level course, content will be covered at an accelerated pace. Students will study topics at a deeper level and will be expected to complete more independent coursework and assignments.
