Automotive Collision Repair 10: In this course, students will engage in theory and training in the following areas of study: General Safety, Safety Equipment, (Personal and Shop), Safety Rules, Guidelines, Practices, and Regulations, OSHA and Right to Know Regulations. Hand Tools, Collision Repair Specialty Tools, Power Tools & Equipment, Measurement, Standard and Metric, Distance & Linear, Liquid Measurements, Tolerances, and Allowances, Deciphering Service Information, Standards and Specifications, Manufacturer Procedures and Repair Recommendations, Scope & Sequences. Data Collection, Comparisons, and Analysis. General Fasteners and Types, Grading, Strengths, Thread Types, Pitch, Yield Fasteners, One Time Use, Tightening Sequences, use of technology, computers and scanners, marketing, and personal finance. All instructional methods and categories based on AES, SP2, NATEF/ ASE, and or I-CAR principles of instruction. Strict adherence to the Massachusetts curriculum frameworks for Automotive Collision Repair and its embedded academic standards are incorporated throughout the delivery of the curriculum.
