Welding Theory 11: In this course, students will explore current technology that relates to the welding industry and gain an understanding of developing technology. Students will access a variety of sources to research and organize information to gain an understanding of the career opportunities in the welding field. Students will study the following welding processes: GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding); FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding); SAW (Submerged Arc Welding); and PAW (Plasma Arc Welding). Students will read, understand, and communicate in the language of the welding field; comprehend advanced blueprint reading; and use mathematical skills and processes to solve problems related to the welding field.
