School Meals Public Release Statement 2023-2024
The Worcester Public Schools will be participating in the USDA’s Child Nutrition Programs National School Lunch Program (NSLP) for the 23-24 School Year. As part of this program, the Worcester Public Schools offer healthy meals every school day at NO COST to the students due to the implementation of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for school year 23-24. Students will be able to participate in these meals programs without having to pay a fee or submit a household application.

Meal Modification Information
Pursuant to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) nondiscrimination regulation (7 CFR 15b), as well as the regulations governing the Child Nutrition Programs pertaining to meal modification (7 CFR 210.10 (m), SP59-20 16, and FNS Instruction 113.-1, as amended, substitutions to the regular meal will be made, at no extra cost, for students who are unable to eat meals served in any Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) because of their disabilities. Any student who needs a meal modification for their school breakfast and/or school lunch must have a documented meal plan with the Food Service Director and School Nurse.
