University Park Campus School (grades 7-12)

Located in Main South at 12 Freeland Street, University Park Campus School has approximately 245 students in grades 7-12 and a longstanding relationship with nearby Clark University. Through the partnership, student teachers from Clark provide individualized attention to students at UPCS, students have access to Clark’s athletic facilities, and upperclassmen have opportunities to take courses at Clark and obtain a Neighborhood Scholarship.

Every year, UPCS notifies grade 6 WPS students who live within the UPCS zone* that they are eligible to apply for UPCS for grade 7. Any interested family will attend an open house event, which is held in multiple languages, to learn more about the school. Families should bring proof of residency (utility bill, lease, etc.) Then, there is a blind lottery admission process with sibling preference.

*Please note that students who live within the UPCS zone are also zoned to South High.

Voluntary Transfers

If you are interested in attending a school that is outside of your neighborhood zone, you may request a voluntary transfer through the Voluntary Transfer and Magnet Application Form. Voluntary transfers are considered on a case-by-case basis.
