4th Annual WEC’appella

WEC’appella, Worcester’s premier a cappella competition, pits three high school and five college groups in a sing-off for a truly gaudy trophy and bragging rights as best a cappella group in the city on Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 pm at Mechanics Hall.
Tickets are $20 for general admission; $10 for students. Tickets are available at Mechanics Hall’s box office and online and at the door.
Presented by the Worcester Education Collaborative (WEC), WEC’appella features the following groups: Burncoat High School’s Quadrivium; Doherty Memorial High School’s Madrigals; and Abby Kelley Foster Public Charter School’s Bearitones.
College competitors include: Anna Maria’s Common Time; Assumption’s Hound Sound; Clark University’s Clark Bars; Holy Cross’ Fools on the Hill; and WPI’s Sound Logic.
Master of ceremonies is Noah Lis, season six competitor on The Voice’s Team Blake.
Judges are: Jerome Kyle, vocalist, musician, vocal music professor at Berklee College of Music; Ruth Berman, a cappella performer with Boston Accent; and Troy Siebel, Executive Director for The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for Performing Arts.
WEC’appella is a fundraiser for Worcester Education Collaborative, (WEC), a non-profit that advocates for excellence in public education.
