Over $100,000 awarded to Claremont Academy!

A big congratulations to Claremont Academy who was awarded over $100,000 by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to continue their 21st Century program! Much appreciation goes to the Claremont Academy principal Angela Plant, and staff who provided wonderful opportunities for our students and helped us achieve our goal. In addition, we would like to thank various community partners such as FitClub, You Inc., Main IDEA, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), UMASS Extension Nutrition Program, Boys and Girls Club of Worcester, YWCA, YMCA and the Worcester Youth Center who provided engaging and innovative activities over the past year to help meet the needs of our students.

Moving forward in the 2019-2020 school year, we will continue to serve Grade 7-9 students who attend Claremont Academy, but will now also serve their siblings who attend Woodland Academy in Grades 1-6. We look forward to implementing this new service model and having another successful year of 21st Century programming at Claremont Academy!
