June 13, 2022
Dear Caregivers of the 2022 Graduating Eighth Grade Class of BMS;
This year’s graduation ceremony will be held outdoors at the Commerce Bank Field at Foley Stadium, located at 305 Chandler Street on Wednesday, June 15th at 1 p.m. The ceremony will take place on the field (students) and families will be seated in the bleachers. Graduating students should report with their caregivers and families directly to Foley Stadium. Due to transportation constraints, no transportation will be provided to Foley Stadium from the school. Graduating students should arrive at 12:15 p.m. to allow time for locating their seat and families to find parking.
Students should dress appropriately following the Worcester Public Schools dress code policy. It is suggested that students wear neat and comfortable clothing (collared shirts/blouses, slacks/khakis, skirts/dresses) as they will be sitting on the field. ALL STUDENTS MUST WEAR FLAT-SOLED SHOES, SUCH AS FLATS OR SNEAKERS. HEELS OR WEDGES ARE PROHIBITED AS THEY ARE A SAFETY ISSUE ON AN ARTIFICIAL GRASS SURFACE.
While there will not be tickets issued, we strongly encourage the limit of family members to six. This is because parking can be difficult in this area (no different than BMS!). The gates open at 12:15 p.m.
We ask that you leave air horns, balloons, confetti, glitter and signs at home or in your car for after the ceremony. - in line with other WPS graduations.
** Please do not park in the lot of any surrounding businesses, or you run the risk of your car being towed**
(#1) The Foley Stadium parking lot is directly across the street.
(#2) The Worcester Youth Center parking lot, adjacent to the Foley Stadium lot.
(#3) Ted Williams Little League lot,which is across the street from Foley on Mayfield Street.
(#4) Beaver Brook parking lot on Mann Street- pass Foley Stadium on your left hand and Mann Street will be the first left. There is a paved walkway that leads from the lot to Chandler Street.
