To consider the proposed FY15 Budget and the responses to the following motions:

A. Request that the Administration provide a description of position and achievement on page 146, line E.

B. Request that the Administration further explain line D. on page 166, and line A. on page 167.

Response of the Administration to the request to provide a report as to the cost of transportation for the Reach and Challenge students for not only the remaining days of this school year but also what the cost would be for a full school year.

To set a date to congratulate Caitlin McCarthy, an English Language Arts teacher at Worcester Technical High School, on receiving the Kathleen Roberts Creative Leadership Award from the Massachusetts Teachers Association, in recognition of her groundbreaking instruction initiatives, cinematography, “political action, community organizing and mentoring” as to the devastating effect and impact of diethylstilbestrol (DES), through which she has “served the global DES community in a volunteer role.”

To congratulate the Green Reapers on winning first place, with their alliance, at “Mayhem in Merrimack”.

To congratulate the Worcester Public Schools’ crew team lightweight men’s double on earning a bronze medal at the National Schools Championship Regatta in Saratoga Springs, New York.

To send a letter of appreciation to the Worcester Bravehearts for encouraging students in the Worcester Public Schools to read through the “Home Run Club” program in May and awarding those students who completed the program with a free ticket to a future game this summer at Fitton Field in Worcester.

To consider an item regarding state mandates for inclusion on the November 2014 Massachusetts Association of School Committees delegates’ assembly ahead of the June 30 deadline for submission.

To congratulate the Worcester Arts Magnet School Special Chorus on earning the gold medal award at the Performing Arts Consultants Music Festival, held at Six Flags New England on Friday, May 30, 2014.

To approve the proposed amendment to the Attendance Policy to be included in the Policies Handbook of the Worcester Public Schools.

To consider all items filed by the School Committee that have budgetary implications in light of the FY15 Budget.

Request that the Administration provide a full report regarding the incident that took place on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Worcester Technical High School to include the resolution.

Request that the Administration provide a review of the protocol for the notification of the School Committee when there is an emergency at a school site.

To consider approval of the following courses:

• Dance for Fun
• Hip Hop

To discuss collective bargaining for Nurses if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigation position of the School Committee.

To discuss collective bargaining for Bus Drivers and Bus Monitors if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigation position of the School Committee.

To discuss collective bargaining for Computer Technicians (Unit D) if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigation position of the School Committee.

To discuss collective bargaining for ESL Tutors if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigation position of the School Committee.

To discuss collective bargaining for Educational Secretaries if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigation position of the School Committee.

To discuss collective bargaining for Cafeteria Workers if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigation position of the School Committee.
