To recognize representatives from South High Community School for providing space at the school for “Andy’s Attic,” a store which is providing clothing for students in need.

Response of the Administration to the request to encourage all Worcester middle and high schools to make the program “FACE 2 FACE,” offered by the Worcester County Sheriff, available to all students.

Response of the Administration to the request to post the public portions of the Friday Letter online.

Response of the Administration to the request to review the January 25, 2013 guidance letter of the Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights of the United States Department of Education regarding participation of students with disabilities in extracurricular activities, and to determine whether any actions should be taken by the Worcester Public Schools in response to it.

Response of the Administration to the request to provide a sample of the data charts for tracking of the senior classes regarding graduation rates.

Response of the Administration to the request to develop a process which offers parents and guardians the option to “opt out” of the PARCC pilot test for their children, and to communicate notice of this option to all parents and guardians.

Response of the Administration to the request to provide a report regarding the process and procedures for individual staff members to utilize School Dude to include emergency requests.

Request that the Administration provide information in reference to the Family Academy such as its:

-purpose
-partners and
-plan

Request that the Administration provide the following information on the Temporary Learning Center (TLC) Program:

-classroom accommodations
-enrollment
-actual spaces available
-age of students serviced
-waiting list and
-the process of enrollment

Request that the Administration provide a middle and high school report, per school site, regarding the teacher:pupil ratio per classroom indicating the number of teachers who are above the contracted 125 students.

To approve payment of a prior year salary adjustment in the amount of $1,960.00 for an employee.

To accept a donation in the amount of $2,500 from the Association of School Business Officials International in recognition of the Eagle Award recently presented to Brian E. Allen, Chief Financial and Operations Officer, in order to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior.

To approve a prior year payment in the amount of $28,105.00 for services provided by Behavioral Concepts, Inc. for the month of June 2013.

To urge Worcester’s legislative delegation to oppose all attempts to lift the charter cap in Massachusetts.

To consider proposed changes to regulations regarding charter schools prior to the Board of Education’s March 24th consideration of the changes.

To accept a donation in the amount of $500.00 made payable to the Dr. James A. Caradonio New Citizens Center.

To approve a Statement of Interest to be submitted to the Massachusetts School Building Authority for the renovation/ rehabilitation of Worcester East Middle School.

To recognize the Worcester Public Schools for being a first time recipient of the Meritorious Budget Award provided by the Association of School Business Officials International.

To set a date for the School Committee’s FY15 Budget priority setting session.

To set a date to recognize the St. Peter-Marian-Worcester Co-op Ski Team which won the Boys’ Alpine State Championship at Wachusett Mountain.

To accept a donation in the amount of $500.00 made payable to Clark Street Developmental Learning School.

To consider changing the date of the second School Committee Meeting in April.

To conduct the disciplinary hearing of Student #13/14-13 and to do so in Executive Session to protect the statutory privacy rights of the student under Chapter 30, Section 21, paragraph 7 and Chapter 214, Section 1B of the Massachusetts General Laws.
