English Learner Parent Advisory Council (ELPAC)

The English Learner Parent Advisory Council (ELPAC) advises the district on all matters pertaining to English learners. All parents and guardians of current and former English learners are welcome to join ELPAC and to attend ELPAC meetings.

Wednesday, May 1, 2024, 6:00-7:30 PM

At South High Community School, 170 Apricot Street

The English Learner Parent Advisory Council (ELPAC) advises the district on all matters pertaining to English learners. All parents and guardians of current and former English learners are welcome to join ELPAC and to attend ELPAC meetings.

Please join us on Wednesday, May 1, from 6:00-7:30 PM, at South High Community School, 170 Apricot Street, Worcester.

Wednesday, January 10, 2024, 6:00-7:30 PM

At Doherty Memorial High School, 299 Highland Street

The English Learners Parents Advisory Council (ELPAC) meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 10, from 6:00-7:30 PM, at Doherty Memorial High School, 299 Highland Street.

Parents and caregivers of students who are English learners are welcome to attend.

The meeting will be a time for families and Worcester Public Schools staff to socialize and discuss the unique needs of multilingual learners.

A light dinner will be provided. Supervised activities for students in grades kindergarten through 6 in art, music, and sports will be available.

Language interpreters will be available throughout the meeting in the following languages: Albanian, Arabic, Haitian Creole, Nepali, Pasto, Portuguese, Spanish, and Twi. We do not require RSVPs.

@ North High School (140 Harrington Way, Worcester)

The ELPAC will host Jessica Mandes, the new WPS Director of Multilingual Education, to provide important updates and take questions from parents and caregivers.
