Summer Program for Students Entering Grade 7&8

Burncoat Middle School’s 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) grant program funded by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is offering a free ONLINE summer program for students entering Grades 7 and 8 in the Fall 2020.

Worcester Public School teachers and community partners will offer live online academic and enrichment activities such as reading, cooking, art and fitness during the hours of 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, July 6, 2020-July 30, 2020. In addition, pre-recorded activities will be provided to students to view at their leisure. Students are not required to participate in all activities, but are encouraged to participate in as many activities as possible on a regular basis. Activities will not be graded.

Online registration will begin on Monday, May 25, 2020. The registration form will be available through a link on the schools web page. Community partners are willing to mail supplies to the student’s home address if parents/guardians check on the registration form that you agree for them to do so. Supplies do not need to be returned.

Students are registered on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be notified as soon as possible if we are unable to accommodate/register your student, or if your student is placed on a waitlist. If enrolled in the program, the school will be in contact with you to provide more information on the online learning process and schedule.
