Superintendent’s Call – February 12, 2021

Good afternoon,

This is Superintendent Binienda. I am calling to remind families and parents of the re-opening dates of March 15 for our Group C students, who are students with complex special education needs and SLIFE students. March 29 is the reopening date for all other students, who have chosen hybrid learning. Families that want to change or select their learning plans must do so by 8pm tonight. The selection form link is posted on the red ribbon on the WPS website, worcesterschools.org. 

There will be three Family School Re-Opening Forums from 5:30-7:30pm:  February 22 for Spanish speaking families,  March 1 for Group C families and March 15 for all March 29 families. Each school will also be providing family reopening school meetings. More information will be posted at a later date.

Please remember meals pick up times are 10-1pm at all pick up locations during school vacation week.  Please visit the WPS website for any updates due to inclimate weather.

The forecast is for some snow next week. I hope all our students enjoy a vacation snow day.

Çdo shkollë do të ofrojë gjithashtu takime shkollore për familjen për rihapjen. Më shumë informacion do të jepet në një datë të mëvonshme.

Estou ligando para lembrar as famílias e os pais das datas de reabertura de 15 de março para nossos estudantes do Grupo C, que são estudantes com necessidades complexas de educação especial e alunos da SLIFE. 29 de março é a data de reabertura para todos os outros alunos, que escolheram o aprendizado híbrido. As famílias que querem mudar ou selecionar seus planos de aprendizagem devem fazê-lo até as 20h00 de hoje. O link do formulário de seleção está publicado na fita vermelha no site das Escolas Públicas de Worcester, em worcesterschools.org.

Haverá três Fóruns de Reabertura da Escola Familiar, das 17:30 às 19:30: 22 de fevereiro para famílias de língua espanhola, 1º de março para famílias do Grupo C e 15 de março para todas as famílias de 29 de março. Cada escola também estará oferecendo reuniões escolares de reabertura familiar. Mais informações serão publicadas posteriormente.

Lembre-se que os horários para pegar as refeições são das 10h00 às 13h00 em todos os locais de comida durante a semana de férias escolares. Por favor visite o site das Escolas Públicas de Worcester para obter atualizações devido ao clima rigoroso.

Les estoy llamando para recordarles a todos los padres que la fecha de reapertura es el 15 de marzo para los estudiantes en el grupo C, esto incluye a los estudiantes con necesidades de educación especial complejas y estudiantes con educación formal limitada o interrumpida (SLIFE, por sus siglas en inglés). Luego, el 29 de marzo se abren las clases para todos los demás estudiantes que hayan elegido el modo de clase híbrido.
