The following is the transcript from the phone message sent out by the Superintendent on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
Good evening WPS staff, students, and families,
This is Superintendent Binienda.
I hope you all are staying healthy and well.
Here is an important message about upcoming COVID vaccine clinics in our schools:
Vaccine consent forms for any student wanting their 1st or 2nd dose of the Pfizer COVID vaccine, or for students ages 12-17, eligible for a booster, need to be returned by tomorrow, March 21.
Vaccine consent forms are located on the WPS website, were sent home and are available at your child's school
A mobile vaccination bus will be scheduled to administer vaccines at your child’s school starting the week of 3/28. The schedule will be posted on the WPS website when it becomes available.
There are also 4 AFTERSCHOOL clinics scheduled this week for families wishing to be present with their child, and for adults wanting their first, second, or booster dose. They are scheduled in each quadrant:
- Roosevelt School: 3/21 from 3pm-6pm
- Elm Park Community School: 3/22 from 3pm-6pm
- Clark Street School: 3/24 from 3pm-6pm
- Quinsigamond Elementary School, 3/25 from 3pm-6pm
Students who receive their COVID vaccine at any of these clinics will be entered into a drawing for a $3,000 scholarship!
Please contact your school nurse should you have any questions
Thank you for your support in our continued fight against the COVID-19 pandemic
