Worcester Tech and North High Track Champions!

Congratulations to the Worcester Technical & North High School boys’ track team for winning the 2023 State Vocational Championship on Thursday, May 18!

And, congratulations to the girls’ track team for finishing second in the state Vocational Runner Ups!

All the student athletes did a great job! Shout outs to:

• Michael Mireku, a junior from Worcester Tech, for winning the gold medal on the High Jump, bronze in the Triple Jump, and fourth in the 200-meter run.
• Michael Gyimah, a junior from Tech, who took silver in the 100-meter and 200-meter, and fourth in the Long Jump.
• Christian Agyekum, a sophomore from North, took the silver in the Triple Jump and Long Jump, and bronze in the 4×100 relay.
• Cyprian Ojatabu, a junior from Tech, took silver in the 400-meter and bronze in the 200-meter.
• Phuc Ho, a junior from Tech, took silver in the Shot Put.
• For the girls’ team, Isabella Generelli, a junior from Tech, took gold in the 800-meter.
• Ohemaa Ofosu, a junior from Noth, took silver in the 100-meter and 200-meter, and bronze in the Triple Jump.
• Valerie Asare, a junior from Tech, took silver in the Long Jump and 400×100 relay, and fourth in the 100-meter.
