Music
Program Overview
Our Music Magnet students take two music classes every day, Music Magnet and their ensemble - band, chorus, or strings.
In addition to learning the full 20-week General Music curriculum, the Music Magnet class is devoted to learning music theory, ear training, and rhythm skills, but also comes with a free private lesson on the student's instrument of choice.
Students have the option of studying violin, voila, cello, trumpet, french horn, trombone, tuba, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, percussion (including drum set), piano, guitar, or voice. These lessons are taught during the school day by our team of trained professionals.
