Middle School Academy
Welcome to the homepage for the Hanover Insurance Academy of the Arts at Burncoat Middle School!
Hanover Insurance Academy of the Arts for grades 7-12 is an advanced academic academy that is integrated in visual and media arts, dance, music, and theater. It is hosted at Burncoat Middle School for grades 7-8, and Burncoat High School for grades 9-12.
Admission Process
Qualifying WPS students in grade 6 receive a letter of invitation to apply into Hanover Arts. Students qualify based on their STAR testing scores.
Invited students can apply online through the Hanover Arts website.
A randomized lottery is held to determine admission.
Students can apply in grade 6 (for grade 7), to join Hanover Arts at Burncoat Middle School.
Additionally, students can apply in grade 8 (for grade 9) to join Hanover Arts at Burncoat High School.

Application Information
Invitations to apply will be sent to 6th grade WPS students who are Worcester residents and received STAR Scores in both reading and mathematics that are above the 75th percentile.
