Dear Claremont Academy Families and Staff,

I am writing to share bittersweet news. On July 1, I will no longer be the Principal of Claremont Academy. For the 2024-25 school year, I will be taking on a new position as Coordinator of the Gerald Creamer Day Program.

Christopher LaBreck, who is currently the Coordinator of the Challenge and Reach Academies, will become the new Principal of Claremont Academy for the 2024-25 year. I ask that you all demonstrate Ubuntu and welcome Mr. LaBreck with open arms into our school community.

In mid-May, Mr. LaBreck will visit Claremont Academy to observe and meet with staff and students. He will share more information about the transition in a letter to families in early June, and will provide families and staff an opportunity to meet with him prior to the start of the 2024-25 school year.

It has been an honor and a privilege to work with so many wonderful students and staff at Claremont Academy. As I will still be part of the Worcester Public Schools family, I look forward to continuing to be part of this community, just in a different role. Thank you for your support.

Yours in Ubuntu,

Angela Plant
Principal
Claremont Academy
