Dear Gerald Creamer Center Students, Caregivers and Staff,
I want to share with you the leadership changes for the Gerald Creamer Center’s Day and Evening Programs for the 2024-25 school year.
GCC Day
Angela Plant will become the Coordinator of GCC Day for the 2024-25 school year. Ms. Plant is currently the Principal of Claremont Academy. Ms. Plant’s unique background as a principal of a 7-12 secondary school has provided Angela with not only expertise in curriculum but insight into the developmental needs of secondary students. Her experience as an academic leader will help guide and support both staff and students at GCC and help us to continue to move our program forward.
In mid-May, Ms. Plant will visit GCC to meet with students and staff. She will share more information about the transition in a letter to caregivers and staff in early June and will provide everyone an opportunity to meet her prior to the start of the 2024-25 school year.
GCC Evening
Scott Moriarty, the Coordinator of GCC Evening, will become the Coordinator of Challenge and Reach Academy. Mr. Moriarty will be replacing Christopher LaBreck. As you know, Scott has spent the majority of his career in alternative education and I am excited that he will be moving to Challenge and Reach where he will have an opportunity to be a stable support to students and staff at both the middle and high school levels.
A replacement for Mr. Moriarty in the GCC Evening program has yet to be decided. I will update you with this information as soon as I am able.
