At May Street School, our goal is to develop all students socially, emotionally and academically in preparation for the challenges that they will face now and in the future.
Skills in problem solving, developing curiosity, empowerment, effective communication, and engagement in the community are emphasized and developed through strategic planning and practice.
Our goal is for all students feel a sense of belonging based on opportunities to participate, high expectations, counseling, community events, and the daily exercise of expressing and engaging in the core values of attitude, effort, kindness and respect relative to being a “May Street Kid.”
I am a May Street Kid,
I am loyal, respectful, and kind
I take pride in my work and school
I am a May Street Kid !!!
The friendly faces of our scholars exude the joy of learning as we dive into experiential opportunities that are engaging and fun.
We strive to develop our students through the Vision of a Learner dispositions.
Our many field trips allow our students to access the community in a variety of ways and we stress the importance of being solid citizens when in the community.
Relationships are the key as we get to know our students. Those relationships foster greater learning and engagement and help us to be the best we can be.
