Chapter 74 CVTE Programs at North

Health Assisting

Focusing on the development of nursing skills, our Health Assisting program is the ideal program for the outgoing, compassionate student interested in entering the growing field of healthcare.

The Health Assisting program prepares students with the knowledge, practical skills, and certifications needed for a career in healthcare. Students gain training in areas such as OSHA safety standards, CPR/First Aid, and Alzheimer’s/dementia care. By the conclusion of the program, students are eligible to earn their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license, positioning them for immediate entry into the workforce or further education in the healthcare sector.

Business Technology

The Business Technology program at North High School integrates marketing concepts, computer applications, and office practices and procedures that will provide students with a solid foundation in the business world.

The program focuses on entrepreneurship and business management. Students learn how to start, market, and manage a business, gaining hands-on experience by operating and managing a school-based apparel business and store. Certifications in OSHA, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks accounting software further enhance their credentials and career readiness.
