In the Spring of your 8th grade year, you will have the opportunity to choose which classes you'd like to take your Freshman (9th grade) year.
Your guidance counselor will help make sure that you are able to take courses that you enjoy, while also making sure that you are meeting your graduation requirements.
Career Vocational Technical Education (Chapter 74) is a program of studies where students learn skills in high school that prepares them to work in a particular field after they graduate.
Worcester Public Schools offers programs in: early childhood education, diesel technology, culinary arts, health care, business technology, and engineering technology
When you graduate from these programs, you will have met the graduation requirements needed to go on to a two or four year college, and will also have met the requirements to begin a career in your vocational and technical field.
You should reach out to your student's guidance counselor with any questions.
