Free training is being offered for adults looking to become Certified Clinical Medical Assistants (CCMA).

 

In this field, wages begin at $20 per hour. You can start your career in as little as six months!

The classroom training will be held at Worcester Technical High School from January 28-May 29, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. The course is being hosted through Worcester Public School’s Night Life program.

 

Externship training includes 120 hours at a local health care facility.

 

Eligibility requirements:

·      You must live in Worcester County

·      You must be at least 18 years old

·      You must be unemployed or qualify as “under employed”

·      You must be authorized to work in the United States

·      You are required to have a high school diploma or HiSET/GED

·      You are required to complete drug testing

·      You have to show proof of insurance and provide medical records

·      You are required to pass a CORI/SORI criminal and sex offender background check

·      You must be proficient in the English language

 

The program is funded through the City of Worcester’s Job Fund in partnership with MassHire Central Region Workforce Board.
