Admission Lottery Schedule for Class of 2029

These students will be in 9th grade in the fall of 2025.

The 2025 timeline to apply for Chapter 74 career/vocational technical education (CVTE) programs for Worcester Technical High School, Doherty Memorial High School, North High School, and South High Community School, is as follows:

January 6, 2025-February 14, 2025: Applications Accepted
February 14, 2025: Application Period Closes
Wednesday, March 12, 2025: Lottery Held
Lottery results are shared with families immediately after drawing and will be posed on the schools' websites by Friday, March 14, 2025.

Admissions Lottery Process

Worcester Technical High School has released its tiered student lottery admissions results for for the Class of 2028 (who will be ninth grade students in the fall of 2024). View the video of the admissions lottery selection process

The admissions lottery process works as follows: Every applicant for the Class of 2028 is assigned based on their feeder middle school, or, if they are not currently attending a Worcester Public Schools middle school, by the WPS middle school that is most closely associated with their address.

Each middle school is allotted a certain number of seats based on student population:

Burncoat Middle: 83
Claremont Academy: 21
Forest Grove: 102
Sullivan Middle: 97
University Park: 8
Worcester East Middle: 89
