Programming & Web Development

Overview

Tech-savvy, critical thinkers, with a passion for creating technology will find success in our Programming and Website Development program.

Students will learn computer science concepts through theory and project-based learning. Students develop websites, apps, and digital games to solve real-world problems.

You will also have the opportunity to gain more advanced skills in JavaScript and the design and creation of websites.

This program will give students the ability to effectively communicate and help the community through the use of technology.

Alumni Spotlight

Meet Derek

Derek Murphy is a 2014 graduate from Worcester Technical High School’s Programming and Web Development Program. After graduating, Derek attended Fitchburg State and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and then completed classes at Northeastern University. He now serves as a Senior Software Engineer for GreatHorn Email Security.

Meet Mariah

Mariah Donahue is a 2018 graduate from Worcester Technical High School’s Programming and Web Development Program. After graduating, Mariah attended the University of Connecticut (UCONN), graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematical Studies. While in school, Mariah worked as a web development specialist for OPIM Innovate. She currently works as a Web Marketing Support Manager for WPI Marketing Communications Division.
