This week, Worcester Public Schools administrators, city representatives, and members of local media had the opportunity to tour the brand-new Doherty Memorial High School!
Spanning 425,000 square feet, the facility is set to provide students in grades 9-12 with a cutting-edge educational experience. From state-of-the-art spaces for arts and athletics to collaborative learning environments and expanded career technical education offerings, the new Doherty is designed for success.
Students and staff will begin the school year in this incredible new space on August 26. Construction will continue into the school year with additional parking lots, athletic complex, and surrounding landscaping still to be completed.
There will be a public ceremony in October to celebrate the opening of the new Doherty Memorial High School. Details will be released soon.
We are excited to welcome our Doherty scholars and educators into this beautiful building!
