Who We Are

The Worcester Public Schools (WPS) Communications Department received three national awards in 2024 from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) that recognized the district’s improved communications efforts.
The Communications Department is comprised of three offices: Communications Office, Worcester Educational Access Television, and Digital Document Center. We all work closely and collaboratively as part of a larger team. The Chief Communications Officer provides leadership for the department.
Communications Office
The WPS Communications Office oversees public written and visual communication on behalf of the district and superintendent. We operate the district's website, social media, and ParentSquare platforms. We also conduct or maintain photography, graphic design, media relations, crisis communications, and public records requests. (Please note we are separate from the Information Technology Department, which maintains the infrastructure for technology platforms.)
